No. Background checked volunteers do not require in person supervision when working with a care recipient or family caregiver. However, if the volunteer is not background checked because they are a member of a community group providing one time only volunteer assistance to your organization, or is a member of a group of under age 18 volunteers, then they must be supervised by a background checked staff member or volunteer.
