Kicking off the 2025-2026 C3 Cohort!
Community Care Corps is thrilled to have officially launched our 2025–2026 cohort year! In early April, we held a grantee kick-off meeting to welcome our newest grantees, who are excited to roll out their innovative and impactful volunteer services across the country. We encourage you to take a moment to get to know the grantees by visiting our new and improved website here. We look forward to a dynamic year of collaboration and meaningful service!!
C3 Grantee Awarded: Council on Aging of Central Oregon
We are proud to highlight the Council on Aging of Central Oregon’s Caring Connections program, which is helping older adults thrive by fostering meaningful social connections. The program was recently featured on KTVZ’s “Pay It Forward,” showcasing how volunteers are making a real difference in the lives of older adults.
Family Caregiving on the Rise
Family caregiving for older adults has grown substantially over the past decade, increasing from 18 million caregivers in 2011 to 24 million in 2022. In a recent episode of A Health Podyssey, Health Affairs’ Rob Lott interviews Dr. Jennifer Wolff of Johns Hopkins University, who shares insights from her latest research on the evolving role of family caregivers, particularly those supporting individuals with dementia.
