We are thrilled to kick off another year of Community Care Corps. As we welcome our fourth cohort of grantees, we are proud to reflect on the innovation and impact that Community Care Corps grantees have achieved since we launched. As of August 2023, over the course of three grant cycles, 79 grantees have assisted and engaged:
5,000+ caregivers
22,000+ older adults and adults with disabilities
8,000+ volunteers
Grantees continue to demonstrate considerable creativity and innovation as they adapt and adjust to serve their local communities. We are excited about what’s in store this year!
For the 2023-2025 grant cycle, Community Care Corps has awarded 30 18-month grants totaling $4 million to organizations nationwide to support local initiatives. This year, Community Care Corps is welcoming:
Grantees located in 9 new states/territories. We are thrilled to add DC, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Washington to the roster. To date, Community Care Corps has funded volunteer models across 40 states/territories!
Seven grantees implementing volunteer chaperone programs providing assistance to older adults and adults with disabilities to and from nonemergency appointments and outpatient services.
Twenty-three grantees providing nonmedical assistance such as companionship and friendly visits, respite, errand running, help around the house, transportation, and home maintenance.
