The Community Care Corps is a national, federally funded grant program that funds and evaluates innovative local programs designed to provide volunteer nonmedical assistance to family caregivers, older adults, and persons with disabilities to assist in maintaining independence in home or community-based settings. This initiative will increase the number of community-based volunteer programs available to provide nonmedical assistance while decreasing the number of older adults, adults with disabilities age 18 and older, and family caregivers who need assistance in maintaining independence in the community but are unable to obtain help.
