In recognition of National Family Caregivers Month, USAging hosted a two-day symposium to elevate awareness of the Community Care Corps initiative—and to highlight local innovative models for supporting older adults, adults with disabilities and family caregivers through non-medical assistance provided by volunteers.

 

The Symposium included keynote addresses and panel presentations featuring grantee recipients, researchers and other experts on topics including caregiving, volunteerism and the value and impact of non-medical care. 

 

Symposium presenters shared information and insights on engaging leaders and activating volunteers to participate in innovative models that address the needs of caregivers at the community level.
